Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Spaminex?
A: Spaminex is a server-based, highly-personalized spam protection system.

Q: What assurance do I have that you will safeguard my personal information.
A: Your personal information is treated with the strictest of confidence. The Spaminex Privacy Policy is rigorously adhered to.

Q: How does Spaminex work?
A: Spaminex servers accept your company's email, and then scans and routes those messages based on the individual's preferences on how to deal with spam. The company administrator can control which preferences the users have access to.

Q: Is Spaminex software I can buy?
A: No. Spaminex is available as a server you can buy and also as a service you can subscribe to - with no hardware or software to buy, install or maintain.

Q: How does subscribing to Spaminex work?
A: Just go to http://www.spaminex.com/try.jsp and enter the required information. Corporate accounts will be contacted by a Spaminex representative to coordinate changing your DNS settings. A small change to your company's Domain Name Server (DNS) settings will tell the internet's mail servers to deliver your company's mail to our network of servers, so your mail flows through the Spaminex network before being delivered to your current mail server.

Q: What does installing a Spaminex server in my network involve?
A: The Spaminex server is a "solution in a box". Just plug it in and connect it to your company's network with an IP address that's accessible from the internet. The server is completely configurable via a web browser. A small change to your company's DNS settings will tell the internet's mail servers to deliver your company's mail to your Spaminex server, which will scan the mail before passing it on to your current mail server. Custom installations involving multiple servers are available for larger installations. In some areas, trained Spaminex installation specialists are available to make the process even easier.
